colhour - a time visualisation proposal trough colour
December 11, 2006colhour - a time visualisation proposal trough colour
Colhour is a system for visualising time, based on the spectrum of the rainbow. Every variable in the clock - second, minute, hour, day, month and year - cycles through the colors of the spectrum which begins with the color purple.
However, the most important aspect is not that all the variables are represented – an application of Colhour could aswell only include the seconds or a combination of a couple of the variables.
The only variable that never starts over is the year, so there a decision has to be made for each time on how to apply it; you can for example restart the year every ten years, every 100, every thousand etc. In the application above all the variables are shown, with seconds being the outer circle and year the inner. The years starts over in one hundred years.
