I’m reading Jan Chipchase’s RSS feed since a few months. He travels many places and gather data (photos, texts, sounds) about how people use mobile phones and other technical artifacts and services. I don’t know exactly what’s his methodology but it is easy to slowly get into what he writes and observes. As a very nice coincidence he was giving a talk at the American University in Cairo two weeks after Martine and I arrived there. I missed the lecture because I’m not yet very well informed of what happens around here… but it was very interesting to follow his explorations and notes while we are discovering the city. http://www.janchipchase.com/blog/archives/by_location/egypt/cairo/
